ALTのカミロ・マルティネス先生からのメッセージです。

My name is Camilo Martinez. I come from a small town called Ocean City, New Jersey, in the United States.I graduated from Colgate University with a degree in Japanese language. I am excited to work with the students and teachers of Johoku Gakuen. I am continually impressed by the the students' enthusiasm for learning and English and I look forward to meeting more and more students!

Recently, the junior high school students and I talked about holidays in the United States. Some holidays, like Valentine's Day, Christmas, and Halloween are celebrated in both Japan and the United States. However, sometimes the ways that we celebrate them are different. The students seemed very interested in these differences. Other holidays, like Easter and Thanksgiving, are not celebrated in Japan. The students were very curious about these holidays, and asked me many insightful questions, like, "What did you do last Easter?" or "What kind of food do you eat on Thanksgiving?" I had a fun time working with them, and I look forward to having more lessons with the junior high school students!
