留学生活も後半に入り、英文での報告書も慣れてきたようです。

第７回留学報告（３月）

This month, we had a long spring break for 2 weeks.

There was a holiday called Easter which is celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the death on the last Sunday in March. Easter is the most important Christian festival. Generally, they eat a big dinner with their family like they do on Christmas. The egg is a symbol of a new life. There are some traditional events such as Egg Hunt and Egg Roll for children at Easter time.

I spent a lot of great time with my friends during the break. We went skiing, shopping in the mall, to the movies and to a last hockey game of the season. Ice hockey is the most popular sport in Canada such as Sumo or baseball in Japan. It is designated as the winter national sport in Canada. Sometimes they fight each other during the games. Most Canadian people like to cheer the games with big enthusiasm. We have lots of fun watching the games with them.

I have many German friends and we often hang out together. They told me about a big festival, Oktoberfest, which is the world’s largest festival held in Munich, Germany from late September to the first weekend in October.They invite me to go to the event. I would love to visit there someday! Also I have invited them to come to the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. I expect that it would be a good opportunity to meet my international friends again in Germany or Japan.

I am really happy that I met wonderful friends who I can talk with about everything here in Canada. This precious time is never coming back again. So I will cherish every moment from now until I land again on Japanese soil.
