５月の留学報告が届きました。

早いもので、残りの留学期間もとうとう１カ月を切りました。
悔いが残らないように過ごしていきたいと話しています。

帰国して成長の様子を見るのが楽しみです。

Nowadays, the weather is unstable. It got very cold last week. I wore a winter jacket because of the low temperatures. About 1 week ago, suddenly a storm came in at midnight. We are usually asleep already, but I couldn’t really get any sleep that night because of the storm. I really want the summer back.

At Badminton club, we participated in a tournament which was held in Invermere. I played against other school teams from Invermere and Fernie in singles, doubles and mix doubles. I won until the semi-final in singles. As for both of the doubles, I got to the final and won! The points were counted as team’s. Our school got 21 out of 30 points. So we were supposed to go to Vancouver for a provincial tournament! Yet we did not have enough girls to play. We will not be going there, though. Too bad, I was really looking forward to going to Vancouver.

On the weekend, our host parent’s daughter and grandchildren, Decolin 7, Alina 5 and Sunny 2 were visiting us. They were so adorable. When I arrived here last September, I met them for the first time. At that time the youngest kid, Sunny was so shy, so she never came to me. But this time she was not that shy anymore. I saw the growth! My host sister, Lene and I were playing with them all the time. We played hide and seek, soccer and basketball, drew some pictures and took tons of pictures. Playing with kids always takes so much energy.

On May 28th we went to the amusement park, Silverwood again. We were there about half a year ago. We got to ride all of the roller coasters. One of them called “Aftershock” was the best roller coaster I had ever ridden. Another ride which spins and circles broke down while we were on it. It stopped when it went on top for a while. Then when we finally got down, the floor was still open, it should have been closed at this point. So we were just sitting on the machine for almost 10 minutes. Even the accident was just so funny for us.

At the beginning of this month, I got my report card that showed my efforts in my classes. Actually I got pretty good marks than I expected. I was happy with those results. In June, I’ll have the final exams of Communication and Social studies. I will try to do my best.

My Canadian life is coming to an end. I have spent 9 months here already. Time goes by too fast. Hopefully, being here for 10 months develops my English skills and my thoughts that I should have learned in Canada.
