高校三年生は卒業式を目前に控え、「送別会」と今までの高校生活で資格取得や部活動などで頑張ってきた成果を称え「表彰式」が行われました！

高校１年生からの出し物は、成女学園や先生方について「○✕クイズ」を出題しました！みんな成女学園のことや先生について、知らないこともありとても盛り上がっていました！高校２年生からは、一番お世話になった３年生にお祝いムービーとして「スケッチブックリレー」を贈りました。お祝いの言葉をしっかり伝えられていました。最後に高校３年間のお祝いムービーを鑑賞し、高校３年間を締めくくりました！

高校３年生にとって、思い出に残る貴重な会になりました！

毎年、高校３年ソーシャルマナーの最後の数時間では折形と水引の歴史を学びながら、

本校のシンボルである梅を題材に実際に梅結びを作成しています。

梅結びは簡単には結びが解けないことから、『固く結ばれた絆』・『運命向上』を意味します。

今年も生徒たちは３年間の想いを込めながら、折形の上に素敵な梅結びを仕上げることが

できました。いつまでも固く結ばれた友情を…幸せを願って… 。

2月21日(日)に、第1回パフォーマンスフェスティバルが開催されました。

生徒たちが自主研究と表現プログラムで1年間取り組んできたことの成果を発表し、たいへん充実した発表会となりました。

全員が「最高のパフォーマンスをしたい、最高の会にしたい」という思いを持ち、それが一つになる。成女の強さが、またひとつ形になった会でした。

New Zealand is a very multicultural country.  If you have a craving for any kind of food or drinks, you can probably find a cafe or restaurant that has it!  One of my favourite things to do is go to cafes with my friends and try something new!

Today I will introduce some fun drinks you can order at New Zealand cafes.  There are a lot of cafes that have fun an unusual drinks.  You can find lattes that are supposed to be good for your health such as matcha latte, turmeric latte, beetroot latte or charcoal latte, and there are crazy and weird drinks which are mainly just for fun!  For example, there was one where you pour hot milk over chocolate candy floss to make a hot chocolate or a hot chocolate where you pour warm milk into a chocolate-coated ice-cream cone and drink from the cone!  If you don’t like milky drinks but want to try something strange and wonderful, then why don’t you give pea-flower tea a try!  When pea-flower is brewed in hot water the tea is blue, but if you add some lemon juice it will turn pink right before your eyes!  Sometimes we also get popular drinks from overseas in our cafes too, like the Korean dalgona coffee which is whipped coffee foam layered onto steamed or iced milk!  I like to try these strange drinks from time to time but actually, my favourite drink to order is spiced chai tea latte.  You can easily make spiced chai tea lattes at home.  If you have time I recommend you try making it yourself!

Today students learned about five famous British people.

The most famous British man is Sir Winston Churchill.  He was the British prime minister during World War 2 and helped us stop the Nazis.

Next is Charles Darwin.  He is famous for the theory of evolution.  He was a scientist.

John Lennon was a rock star from the band called The Beatles.  He is one of the most famous rock stars ever.  He married a Japanese woman called Yoko Ono.

Next is William Shakespeare.  He was a famous writer and he wrote famous plays like ‘Hamlet’ and ‘Romeo and Juliet.’

One last person.  His name was John Logie Baird.  He was a Scottish man who invented the Television.

Next class students will give a presentation about the most famous people in Japan.
