An envoy from Yale came to the school to talk to the high school students about entrance procedures for USA universities. Very interesting topic with lots of nice bits of information for our students and their parents.
Year 11 DP Theatre went to see Miss Saigon at Hakataza. A very good evening!
World History debate today. About the success (or failure) of the League of
Nations after World War 1. Grade 7 and 9 were the public for parts of it to see
the IB class in action. Good times.
Super news! Linden High School has an new exchange student from Canada : Marina. She will be with the grade 10 and the grade 11 classes for the next month. We gave her a nice welcome and the students will surely take good care of her too. She has had a great interest in Japan for a long time and she is pretty happy to have the chance to come and study in our school.
Here she is with some grade 10 students :
All the school, students and teachers, went to mountain Houmanzan on Friday. We climbed the mountain in 2h and a half and then came down in about an hour. It was a great challenge and very rewarding. The temperature was great but a little warm he!he!

Grade 11 had to produce a Norwegian play called the Doll’s House. It was performed in Japanese. It’s a story about duty, money, lies and love in the 19th century. They prepared for only 2 weeks but it was very, very good. Bravo guys!
The grade 11 had a historical debate about the fate of Germany after World War 1. They had to represent different countries and plead their case. A jury, composed of 2 students, had to then choose what to do with all the propositions. The students had to do some research, prepare a speech, argue between themselves as countries with different opinions and come up with a solution. It was a great time and very informative.
Well the grade niners are now in Kyoto. Check out the new pictures of them in the photo album!!! Golden temple!!! WOW!
