Today’s weather was sunny but it was a little bit colder than yesterday.
The schedule today was double English, Japanese Geography, English, Math and double Japanese.
Yesterday, we had homework from three subjects and for all of them, we had to memorize things.
We had to memorize our parts for the nuclear energy presentation we will perform at the Linden Festival.
For Japanese, we had to prepare for a Kanji test and we also had to memorize lots of vocabulary for the English test.
We were busy memorizing even during the 5 minute breaks between classes and we all did our best to study.
It was a busy day but we had a lot of fun today.

今日もいいお天気だけど、昨日ほどの晴天！とはいかない日です。
今日のスケジュールはEnglish２時間に地理、英語、数学に国語が2時間でした。
そんな私たちに、悲しい出来事が！昨日の宿題で３教科から宿題が出たのですが、なんと全部暗記もの・・・。
第一に！リンデン祭で行う原子力のプレゼンテーションの文章を作り上げたので、その暗記。
第二に！国語の授業の漢字テストに向けて漢字の練習。
第三に！英語の単語テストに向けて・・・山ほどの単語。
授業の間の5分休みまで費やして、みんながんばりました！（まるで5分休みも授業中みたいに誰も机から離れませんでした）
ものすごく忙しい日だったけど、今日も1日充実充実♪

Today we had Special Music and some people played the drums.  I played it too.

It was the first time for me to play the drums so it was a little difficult but it was very interesting.

After that, we made drum rhythms with the computer.

I learned that if we use the computer to make music, we can use many sounds.

I have not used computers to make music before but now I think I might be able to.

We had a good time. I am eager to learn more about DAW in special music.

今日はスペシャルミュージックでドラムを叩きました。

生まれて初めてたたいてちょっと難しかったけど、とっても楽しかったです。

そのあと、パソコンを使ってドラムのリズムを作り、いろんな音を作れることを学びました。

もっともっとスペシャルミュージックで学びたいです。

Today we had science, double Japanese, double Math,

LHR, Special Japanese and culture club.

We had lunch between Math and today’s menu was carbonara. It was so delicious.

In Japanese class, we worked on the script for our play.

It was interesting to think about the feelings of the characters.

In culture club (History) we made our own poster for the Linden Festival.

I’m drawing a map of Japan that explains what happened in the battle

between the old Tokugawa Shogunate and the new Meiji rebel forces.

It was enjoyable but the coloring was really hard.

We only have a short time to finish it but we will do our best

to make a good presentation for the Linden Festival.

今日の時間割は、Science、2時間続きの国語、2時間続きのMathに

LHRに国語、文化系クラブでした♪

ランチは2時間あるMathの間（！）にあって、カルボナーラ❤でした。

すごーく美味しかったです！

国語の時間には、私たちがやる劇のセリフを書きだしました。

私のいる歴史くらぶでは、リンデン祭にむけて、それぞれがポスターを作りました。

私は日本地図を書いて、旧幕府軍と新政府軍の戦いについて説明しようと思います☆

すごくおもしろかったけれど、色塗りはなかなか難しかったです…。

あまり時間はないけれど、いいプレゼンテーションができるように精一杯頑張ります！

Today, we had double English class.

In the class, we finished making the presentation

about our nuclear future.

We also finished writing our speeches for the presentation.

We will show them both at the Linden Festival.

We also had double Japanese class today and

first we studied about classical literature.

Then we split into three groups and

wrote the script for a reading play on 走れメロス.

We have to read it with the characters’ emotion so the play will be realistic.

At the school’s entrance, there is a big spider web now.

This is one of the decorations for Halloween. It makes us feel happy.

今日の2時間続きのEnglishでは、

原子力の将来について、プレゼンテーションを作り終えました！

プレゼンテーションのスピーチも完成しました♪

リンデン祭でお見せするのが楽しみです。

2時間続きの国語では、最初の1時間で文学史、

次の時間には、3チームに分かれて「走れメロス」の劇の台本を書きました。

劇をリアルにするためにも、感情をこめて読まなくちゃ！

学校のロビーには、ハロウィンのための大きなクモの巣がお目見え☆

楽しみになってきました❤

in our report to the teacher. Today’s lunch was Ebi-chili – Shrimp in chili sauce.

It was delicious and many people went for seconds.

In P.E we learned how to play Ultimate Frisbee. I was not very good at it but I had fun.

今日はMath, 国語、歴史、理科、体育の授業でした。国語の時間で漢字テストがあり、みんな休み時間にも必死になって勉強していました。

今日のランチは、エビチリでした。とっても美味しくてたくさんの人がお代わりしていました。

午後からの授業は体育で、フリスビーをやりました。そんなに上手にできなかったけど楽しかったです。

October 24th 2011

Today’s weather was sunny but in the morning it was quite cold.

Today’s schedule was Doutoku, Home Economics,

and we had a special lecture by the members of the local fire department.

In Doutoku, we learned how to make big decisions.

In Home Economics, we learned how to use the knife safely.

In the lecture, 2 firemen who went to Tohoku for disaster relief came

and they talked about the earthquake and the Tsunami.

We watched a video of the victims and it was scary. It made us think about a lot of things.

今日は晴れでしたが、朝はとっても寒かったです。今日の時間割は道徳、家庭科、防災講話でした。

道徳では、大きな決断をどうやってするかを学び、家庭科では安全な包丁の使い方を学びました。

講話では、2人の消防士さんがきて、地震や津波について話して下さいました。

そこで、被災地のビデオを見てとっても怖かったです。いろんなことを考えさせられました。

Today’s schedule was Math, Japanese geography, double Japanese,

English geography and English. It was raining but we had a fun day.

Today’s lunch menu was spaghetti, fruit punch and cheese.

今日は数学と、地理、国語が2時間、ジオグラフィーとイングリッシュがありました！
雨だったけど楽しかったですよ！今日はスパゲティの日♪おいしかった☆

18th October, Tuesday 2011

Today’s weather was sunny but in the morning it was very cold. Today’s schedule was Japanese geography, double Math, Japanese, Japanese English, English and Japanese science.

In Japanese geography, we learned about the world. We made a group and talked about many countries.

In Math class, we played a game called Big number and Small number. We as questions like ‘how fast does human hair grow in kilometers per hour?’ and decide if the answer is a big or small number. In Japanese English we had a mini test. We all studied during the 5 minutes break for it. For lunch, we had another delicious meal again today. It was very delicious.

今日の天気は、晴れでしたが朝はとっても寒かったです。今日の時間割は、地理、Math、国語、英語、English、理科でした。

世界地理を学び、グループを作って、いろんな国について話し合いました。

Mathでは、大きい数・小さい数のゲームをしました。人間の髪の毛の伸びる速さはどれくらいかを考え、その答えが大きい数か小さい数かを考えました。英語の時間に小テストがありました。みんな、休み時間に勉強していました。

昼食は、またまたとっても美味しかったです。

Today’s weather was cloudy and winter is getting closer so it was a little bit cold.

Today’s schedule was Math, Japanese, History, Environment, Japanese science, and double music.

In Math class we made a square-based pyramid and investigated the formula for their volume.

In Japanese, we had a Kanji test. Some of us didn’t remember that we had a test today!

After the test, we read a poem called ‘jeans.’

This poem was supposed to be about love but no one noticed that it was.

Everyone was naïve or insensitive! Our Japanese teacher was surprised and shocked.

For lunch, we had pizza toast, salad, pot-au-feu and banana.

It was very delicious and many people had seconds.

冬はもうすぐそこ！　今日の天気は曇りでちょっと寒かったです。

今日の時間割は、Math、国語、歴史、Environment、理科に2時間続きのMusicでした！

Mathの時間には、底面が四角形のピラミッド（四角錘ですね～♪）を作って、

その体積を求めるにはどうしたらいいのかを考えました。

国語の時間には漢字テストがありましたが、今日がテストだと覚えていなかった人も・・・。

テストの後は、「ジーンズ」という詩を読みました。

この詩は「恋」についての詩だったけれど、なんとクラスの誰もそれに気付きませんでした！

みんなが幼稚なのか、鈍感なのか！？　国語の先生は、この結果にビックリ＆ショックな様子。

ランチは、ピザトーストとサラダ、ポトフにバナナでした♪　おかわりもたくさんしましたよ～❤

Today’s weather was rainy.

The clouds were dark outside so we couldn’t go out during recess.

Today’s schedule was Math, History, Japanese, Science, Geography, English and Ryugaku guidance.

In Japanese, we had a vocabulary test of classical Japanese.

It was very difficult. In Geography, we made a poster.

Today’s lunch was double cooked pork (hoiko-ro), soup, salad and rice. It was delicious!

今日はくもっていたので、お昼には外で遊べませんでした。残念・・・！

今日の時間割は、Math、歴史、国語、Science、Geography、Englishに留学ガイダンスでした。

国語では古典単語のテストが・・・。難しかったです。Geographyではポスターを作りました♪

今日のランチは、ホイコーローにスープ、サラダとご飯でした。美味しかった～❤
